Allspice

Allspice also referred to as “Jamaican pepper” or “pimento” is a combination of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves, Nutmace, Black pepper, etc.In comparison to the powdered product, the whole fruits have a longer shelf life and when freshly ground before use produce a more fragrant final product. Allspice can be used in both sweet, savory dishes and in baking especially for gingerbread and other spice cakes.
